The LJM Boys Keep Building Points In The AHG Series:
Release 27/1/2011 - BCM

For the LJM Racing team cars of Jamie & Bradley Maiolo last weekend’s round of the AHG Series at the Perth Motorplex was another night of acclimating points for the end of season championship series as well as some much needed track time leading up to the World Series Sprintcars swing coming up in February this year.
For Jamie Maiolo his nights results were probably not what he had hoped for but at the end of the day finishing and a main in this tough competition is good, Jamie time trialed in 8th with a 15.90, Heat 1 started 6th finished 4th, Heat 2 started 5th & finished 4th. “It was pretty hard to move forward in the heats as the track was locked down to a single lane on the kerb, so finishing where we did is the best we could have done tonight” commented Jamie after the two rounds of heats. Feature time & Jamie started the main event out of position 7 & finished in 4th, the only thing stopping from going any further forward was the debris that he hit from another car damaging the front wing & shock near the end of the race, but a 4th place finish was still a positive result.
For Brad Maiolo driving the #77 LJM Produce/APB/Maxwill/J&J his time trail result was 7th with a 15.77, Heat 1 started 7th & finished 3rd, Heat 2 started 8th & finished 5tgh giving Brad a 3rd row start in the final, The Main event was a flat out affair as the track was juiced right up, many of the racers finished where they started & for Brad he finished in 9th position slipping back slightly through lapped traffic, but in the end a solid
result for him & his team.
Jamie Maiolo now holds down second place in the AHG Sprintcar series points standings with 1572 points & Bradley is in 6th place on 1368 points, Both set up in a good position for a team podium finish in 2011.
The LJM racing team will now prepare for a very busy period in Western Australian sprintcar racing with some of the biggest events on the calendar over the next 50 days, World Series Sprintcars & The Krikke Boys Race just two that are marked on the LJM wish list.
LJM Racing will enjoy a week off this weekend while the Australian Sprintcar Championship is decided at premier Speedway Warnambool, they will be back at the Perth Motorplex at Kwinana Beach next weekend for round 12 of the prestigious AHG sprintcar series.
