Jamie Wins The Prize, But Bradley Steals The Show: Not to be up staged by his older brother LJM Racing stalemate Bradley Maiolo stood on the podium last Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex Gold Cup Grand Final night after nearly clinching victory in the closing meters of the feature race. With a few laps to travel in the final race of the year, Bradley was sitting behind his brother in 4th place, on the dying laps Jamie encountered a problem and blew a tyre, Brad managed to get by Jamie to secure 3rd place in the AHG final event. For LJM Racing this was a pure season of excellence, with Jamie Maiolo becoming the AHG series champion for a record 6th time, and that is only in 11 seasons for jamie, but to top that off the teams young gun Brad Maiolo finished in 4th place, proving to one & all consistency pays off. This is a dominant performance by LJM racing for all 23 rounds in 2010/11 & things are only going to get tougher for the rival competitors as Bradley Maiolo matures into a fine sprintcar driver. After time trials on Saturday night Jamie finished in 7th, with Bradley in 9th, Heat races finishes for Jamie were a pair of 4th & for Bradley he finished his heat 1 in 2nd & his second heat in 3rd position, this gave the boys a starting position in the main event of Brad out of 3 & Jamie out of 5.
