Down To The Final Rounds Of The AHG Series: This weekend at the Perth Motorplex sprintcar will again highlight as they chase the silverware for the 2011 Silver Cup. For Jamie Maiolo winning the Silver Cup would be great as he hasn’t stood on the top step of the dais since 1997/98, so victory in this race has been a long time between drinks, but more importantly for Jamie is securing more championship points towards a record fifth time. The LJM team are well represented at all tracks they attend with Jamie running the #99 J&J followed by brother Bradley who also runs a J&J in the #77 livery, Bradley has improved a whole bunch in season 2010/11 and we can expect bigger & better things from this young driver of the future. With a slim 66 point lead going into the last two events jamie will have to be on his game each time the car hits the track, something the LJM team have been all season is consistency, the only times he has finished out of the points was due to a parts failure and for Jamie’s dad & team boss Larry Maiolo this would be a great victory if he was to secure the championship considering the run of bad luck at some meetings.
