Jamie Maiolo Crowned AHG Series & Perth Motorplex Track Champion: BCM

If you wrote this story at the beginning of the season I would have been told im dreaming, but it’s now fact, Jamie Maiolo has won both leading Sprintcar series here in WA in 2010/2011.

And not just winning, he dominated most of the season & what was more satisfying for the team was his younger brother Bradley Maiolo coming home in 4th position in the AHG Series also.
Road To Ahg Sprintcar Crown Is Paved With Consistency:
The eleventh running of the AHG Sprintcar Series over on the west coast has been run and won. After a record 23 rounds at six different circuits around the state the Myalup based Jamie Maiolo has taken off the coveted crown for a record sixth time.
Jamie Wins The Prize, But Bradley Steals The Show:

Not to be up staged by his older brother LJM Racing stalemate Bradley Maiolo stood on the podium last Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex Gold Cup Grand Final night after nearly clinching victory in the closing meters of the feature race. With a few laps to travel in the final race of the year, Bradley was sitting behind his brother in 4th place, on the dying laps Jamie encountered a problem and blew a tyre, Brad managed to get by Jamie to secure 3rd place in the AHG final event.

There comes a time in your speedway career that you accomplish some record results, this weekend may be that time for LJM racing Jamie Maiolo as he chases a record AHG series title win at the Perth Motorplex this Saturday night at the season grand Final.

This weekend at the Perth Motorplex sprintcar will again highlight as they chase the silverware for the 2011 Silver Cup.

For Jamie Maiolo winning the Silver Cup would be great as he hasn’t stood on the top step of the dais since 1997/98, so victory in this race has been a long time between drinks, but more importantly for Jamie is securing more championship points towards a record fifth time.

Team driver Jamie Maiolo competed in 6 nights of the World Series Sprintcars not vying for that title but more importantly securing valuable AHG series points for the 2010/2011 sprintcar season.
LJM Racing, Mixed Results @ Perth Motorplex:

The LJM Racing team had mixed results at the Perth Motorplex last Saturday night for round 12 of the AHG Sprintcar Points Series. First out to time trial was Brad Maiolo in the #77 LJM/APB/Ausquip/J&J and he timed in 4th position with a 14.641 time, followed by Jamie in 6th position with a 14.683, the top 14 cars were all only separated by 4 100s of a second.
The LJM Boys Keep Building Points In The AHG Series:
For the LJM Racing team cars of Jamie & Bradley Maiolo last weekend’s round of the AHG Series at the Perth Motorplex was another night of acclimating points for the end of season championship series as well as some much needed track time leading up to the World Series Sprintcars swing coming up in February this year.

The 99 myalup missile machine keeps rolling out the big wins & steadily making his way back up the AHG points series table with another victory at Bunbury City Speedway last Saturday night.

Again it was the #99 JLM Racing car of Jamie Maiolo that challenged for the lead deep into the sprintcar A main at the Perth Motorplex last night,
it seems to be routine now that Jamie Maiolo finds the set up & speed required to be there at the end challenging for a podium result. To start the night out, the Perth Motorplex Sprintcar Muster due to the high car count was running a different format so qualifying was out for this event & back to old fashion heat race results.
